Moves responsibility for reporting on earned risk reduction credits from the Commissioner of Correction to the Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division within the Office of Policy and Management, with the Commissioner consulted as needed.

Changes initial reporting deadline from January 1, 2016 to January 1, 2017, with quarterly reports thereafter detailing inmates released, crimes committed, credits earned, and recidivism data.

Requires the Commissioner or designee (rather than the warden) to review inmate records and verify earned risk reduction credits prior to any inmate's release.

Mandates the Department of Correction post all earned risk reduction credit reports on its website within 30 days of General Assembly submission.

All changes effective October 1, 2016.
