Commissioner of Social Services shall conduct a study on federal Medicaid waivers and state plan changes for the period July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2022.

Study scope includes current Connecticut Medicaid waiver programs and their served populations, innovative waiver programs from other states adaptable to Connecticut, and amendments needed to the state Medicaid plan for permanent service offerings.

Commissioner must submit a report to the joint standing committee on human services by July 1, 2017, which may include recommendations for addressing service gaps and improving access.

Effective date is July 1, 2016.
