Establishes a new cause of action allowing minor children to claim loss of consortium (loss of love, care, companionship, and guidance) arising from a parent's death, separate and independent from wrongful death claims.

Requires loss of consortium claims by minor children to be brought together with or joined to wrongful death claims related to the parent's death.

Limits recovery of pecuniary damages from the parent's services to the minor child raising the claim, with only that child able to recover such damages.

Requires loss of consortium actions to be filed within the same time period allowed for wrongful death actions and restricts claims to the time period while the child is a minor.

Makes loss of consortium claims contingent on proving facts sufficient to establish wrongful death, and allows all defenses available in wrongful death cases to be asserted against consortium claims.
