Department of Public Health, Department of Rehabilitation Services, and Board of Education and Services for the Blind shall conduct a study by October 1, 2016, of food dispensed by vending machines on public property, including food types, placement positions, nutritional content, and caloric labeling at point-of-sale.

Department of Rehabilitation Services and Board of Education and Services for the Blind shall evaluate revenue generated from sales of each food type in vending machines on public property by October 1, 2016.

Department of Public Health, Department of Revenue Services, and Board of Education and Services for the Blind shall report findings to the joint standing committee on public health by January 1, 2017.

Effective October 1, 2016, no sign or poster displayed in public schools may contain advertisements or logos for food items that do not meet nutrition standards published by the Department of Education pursuant to section 10-215e of the general statutes.
