Amends section 29-305 of the general statutes regarding fire safety inspections by the State Fire Marshal, effective October 1, 2016.

Authorizes the State Fire Marshal to adopt amendments allowing less frequent than yearly inspections of different building uses if public safety interests can be met, except for residential buildings with three or more families.

Permits the State Fire Marshal to reduce inspections of restaurant kitchen fire suppression equipment to once per calendar year, with consideration of equipment usage frequency.

Defines "restaurant" according to the meaning provided in section 30-22(f) of the general statutes.
