Allows municipal police departments to share names of domestic violence victims with approved victim support groups, notwithstanding existing confidentiality protections.

Victim support groups must be either approved by the Judicial Department or under contract with a state agency or municipality to provide victim support services.

Creates an exception to general statutes concerning victim identity confidentiality for this limited purpose of victim support notification.

Takes effect October 1, 2016.
