SB 452 Summary

• State Treasurer shall calculate and collect admissions tax imposed under section 12-541 on tickets to class AA minor league baseball events at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford, effective October 1, 2016.

• State Treasurer must transfer calculated tax revenue from the General Fund to a newly established "Hartford minor league baseball stadium account" on at least a quarterly basis.

• Establishes a separate, nonlapsing account within the General Fund to receive admissions tax revenues dedicated to reducing indebtedness incurred by the city of Hartford to build the baseball stadium.

• State Treasurer shall enter into a memorandum of understanding with the city of Hartford governing distribution and use of moneys in the account.
