Requires student embalmers to complete an approved mortuary science education program, pass an examination by the Department of Public Health, complete one year of full-time practical training under a licensed embalmer in Connecticut, and embalm fifty human bodies within two years before becoming eligible for licensure.

Establishes a licensing application fee of two hundred ten dollars for student embalmers seeking to practice.

Requires applicants to pass a written examination on Connecticut public health laws and state agency regulations pertaining to embalmer activities, plus a practical embalming examination including demonstration on a cadaver.

Authorizes the Department of Public Health to issue an embalming license upon satisfactory passage of required examinations.

Permits license renewal pursuant to section 20-222a, except for cause, and updates pronouns to include "or her" for gender-neutral language.
