Amends section 14-275d of the general statutes to require the Department of Motor Vehicles and Department of Education to inform local and regional school districts about the school bus seat belt account funding program and how to apply for it.

Permits up to 5 percent of the total amount in the school bus seat belt account to be used to cover costs associated with informing school districts about the program.

The school bus seat belt account provides funding to offset a portion of sales tax on purchases of school buses equipped with seat safety belts.
