Amends Section 19a-16d(a) of Connecticut General Statutes to require submission of scope of practice requests to the Department of Public Health by August 15th preceding the next regular legislative session.

Adds a five-year waiting period before a health care profession can submit a request to change its scope of practice after initially establishing that scope.

Applies effective date of October 1, 2017 to the revised scope of practice review process.

Referred to Committee on Public Health and introduced during the January 2017 legislative session.
