Allows certified medical assistants to administer vaccines to persons 18 years of age or older under direct supervision of a physician or advanced practice registered nurse, effective October 1, 2017

Requires medical assistants to be certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants or American Medical Technologists and have graduated from an accredited postsecondary medical assisting program

Mandates medical assistants complete at least 24 hours of classroom training and at least 8 hours of clinical training on vaccine administration before administering vaccines

Requires the Commissioner of Public Health to annually obtain and make available to the public a listing of all state residents certified as medical assistants from the American Association of Medical Assistants, National Healthcareer Association, and American Medical Technologists
