Adds occupation code 25-3099 (Teachers and Instructors, All Other) to the definition of "service worker" eligible for paid sick leave protections under Connecticut General Statutes section 31-57r.

Expands paid sick leave requirements to include school tutors by classifying them under the broader "Teachers and Instructors, All Other" occupation category.

Applies to employers with 50 or more employees in the state, determined by payroll for the week containing October 1st annually.

Excludes manufacturing businesses (sectors 31-33) and certain nonprofits providing recreation, child care, and education services from the requirement.

Takes effect October 1, 2017.
