Adds "public safety employee" as a protected class under intimidation based on bigotry or bias statutes, covering reasonably identifiable police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians.

Amends intimidation first degree (class C felony) to include acts motivated by a person's duties as a public safety employee that cause serious physical injury.

Amends intimidation second degree (class D felony) to include acts motivated by a person's duties as a public safety employee involving physical contact, property damage, or threats thereof.

Amends intimidation third degree (class A misdemeanor) to include acts motivated by a person's or persons' duties as public safety employees involving property damage or threats to damage property.

All amendments become effective October 1, 2017.
