Amends chapter 248 of the general statutes to establish a "move over" law requiring motor vehicle operators to slow down or move over one lane when passing tank vehicles as defined in section 14-1 of the general statutes

Extends the "move over" requirement to commercial motor vehicles equipped with a garbage compactor, a detachable container, or a curbside recycling body

Aims to increase public safety for workers on oil and gas delivery vehicles, garbage trucks, and recycling trucks by giving drivers a legal obligation to reduce speed or change lanes when passing these vehicles
