Amends Section 31-383 of the general statutes to require the commissioner to report annually to the joint standing committee on labor and public employees, beginning January 1, 2018.

Annual reports must include data on injured workers and their demographics, investigations conducted by state and federal OSHA, workplace citations issued, antiretaliation cases, new standards and regulations, workplace fatalities, and criminal prosecutions for workplace fatalities.

Information collected must be made public without revealing individual worker names and shall be available to employers, employees, and their organizations.

Effective date is October 1, 2017.

Purpose is to provide the legislature with accurate data on the number of injured workers across various occupations in the state.
