Establishes a task force to study public health prevention efforts and make recommendations for improvements in three areas: public school disease prevention curriculum, insurance coverage for prescribed preventive measures, and incentives for environmental protection systems implementation

Task force comprises eight members appointed by legislative leaders: two by House speaker (one with public school curriculum expertise), two by Senate president pro tempore (one with disease prevention expertise), one by House majority leader (insurance coverage experience), one by Senate majority leader (environmental protection systems experience), and one each by House and Senate minority leaders

All appointments must be made within 30 days of the effective date, with the first meeting scheduled within 60 days; task force members may be General Assembly members

Administrative support provided by the joint standing committee staff with cognizance over public health matters

Task force must submit findings and recommendations report by July 1, 2018, and terminates upon report submission or July 1, 2018, whichever is earlier
