Commissioner of Social Services, in consultation with the Commissioner on Aging, shall conduct a study of long-term care needs to determine if existing programs and strategies are sufficient.

Study must include: number of state residents 65+ in 2016 and projected number for 2020; number of residents with disabilities requiring long-term care in 2016 and projected number for 2020; and projected number of persons requiring long-term care in 2020.

Study must analyze Money Follows the Person demonstration project data from 2011-2016, including the number of residents moved from institutional to home and community-based settings and resulting state expenditure savings.

Commissioner of Social Services shall report findings and recommendations to joint standing committees on aging and human services by July 1, 2018.
