Commissioner of Social Services must conduct a study on federal Medicaid waivers and state plan amendments needed for the period July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2022.

Study scope includes current Medicaid waiver programs and populations served, innovative waiver programs from other states that could be adapted, and whether state Medicaid plan amendments are needed for permanent service offerings.

Commissioner must submit report to the joint standing committee on human services by July 1, 2018, with potential recommendations for addressing service gaps and improving access.

Act takes effect upon passage.
