Increases the jurisdictional monetary limit for small claims actions from $5,000 to $7,500 effective October 1, 2017

Modifies Section 51-15 of the general statutes to establish the new monetary threshold for cases eligible for small claims procedure

Maintains existing small claims procedures including attorney representation, mail notice, early hearing provisions, and modified rules of pleading and evidence

Preserves exception allowing tenants to recover security deposit damages exceeding the monetary limit if authorized by rental agreement or statute

Applies to all claims for money damages except libel and slander actions
