Requires insurance companies, hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health care centers, fraternal benefit societies, and similar entities to provide coverage for intravenously administered prescription drugs on a basis no less favorable than orally administered prescription drugs.

Applies to individual health insurance policies that provide prescription drug coverage and fall under specified categories in section 38a-469 of Connecticut general statutes.

Applies to group health insurance policies that provide prescription drug coverage and fall under the same specified categories in section 38a-469 of Connecticut general statutes.

Takes effect January 1, 2018.
