Connecticut Housing Finance Authority shall conduct a study analyzing the gap between statewide housing inventory and current and projected housing needs over the next 15 years, in cooperation with the Department of Housing.

Study must assess need for both rental and ownership units and identify how housing needs vary by demographic characteristics including income, age, familial status, disability status, and race.

State prioritizes ensuring all residents have access to affordable housing and that families and persons with income up to 120 percent of area median income have access to affordable housing in opportunity areas.

Connecticut Housing Finance Authority must submit gap analysis report to the joint standing committee on housing by January 1, 2018, providing data broken down by the smallest feasible geographic regions.
