Commissioner of Consumer Protection must adopt regulations by December 31, 2017 establishing a solar photovoltaic installer license, in consultation with the Connecticut Green Bank.

Regulations shall specify experience, training, continuing education, and examination requirements for obtaining and renewing the license.

Initial license fee is $150 and renewal fee is $75, with licenses valid for one year from issuance.

Holders of existing occupational permits or licenses that authorize solar photovoltaic installation and repair are exempt from obtaining the new solar photovoltaic installer license.
