Eliminates the requirement for school children signs on vehicles transporting students aged 18-21 participating in community-based transition services as part of an individualized education program.

Allows such vehicles to optionally display signs instead of being required to display them, creating a distinction from standard school bus transportation.

Permits portable signs used under this section to be removed or covered when vehicles are not engaged in the specified transportation activities.

Effective July 1, 2017, amending section 14-280(a) of the general statutes regarding school bus signals and signage requirements.
