Commissioner of Consumer Protection may issue occupational licenses, registrations, or certificates to armed forces members, veterans, and their spouses who hold similar credentials in other states, effective October 1, 2017.

Commissioner may evaluate the requirements of the issuing authority in the other licensure jurisdiction before issuing the license, registration, or certificate in Connecticut.

Commissioner may waive fees for licenses, registrations, or certificates issued in Connecticut to armed forces members, veterans, and their spouses if the other jurisdiction waives requirements for similar credentials held in Connecticut.

Applies to licenses, registrations, or certificates within the Department of Consumer Protection's jurisdiction, except those issued under title 30 of the general statutes.

Definitions of "armed forces" and "veteran" follow the same meanings provided in section 27-103 of the general statutes.
