Establishes a task force to study methods of developing, expanding, and improving the insurance industry workforce in the state.

Task force shall evaluate the status of the insurance industry workforce, analyze employment needs, and develop strategies for workforce improvement.

Task force consists of 11 members including 2 appointed by the Speaker of the House, 2 by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, 1 each by majority and minority leaders of both chambers, 1 by the deputy Senate Republican President Pro Tempore, the Insurance Commissioner (or designee), and the President of the Board of Regents for Higher Education (or designee).

All appointments must be made within 30 days of the effective date, with the first meeting scheduled no later than 60 days after passage.

Task force shall submit findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee on insurance no later than January 1, 2018, at which time the task force terminates.
