Peace officers must immediately provide crime victims with notification when an arrest is made, including the arrest date and time, arrestee's name, alleged crimes, and bond information.

Crime victims must be informed of pretrial release conditions if the arrestee was released without bond, the date of the initial court appearance, and the court location.

Peace officers shall present an informational card prepared by the Office of the Chief Court Administrator to crime victims describing available services and victim rights in Connecticut.

Peace officers must refer crime victims to the Office of Victim Services for additional information on rights and services, though officers are not liable for failing to do so.

The Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection must adopt regulations to implement these victim notification requirements by October 1, 2017.
