Replaces the word "therein" with "in such building" or "in such dwelling" throughout Connecticut penal code sections 53a-100, 53a-100aa, 53a-101, 53a-102, and 53a-103 for grammatical clarity and consistency.

Changes the pronoun "he" to "such person" in section 53a-103(a) to use gender-neutral language in the burglary in the third degree statute.

Modifies the definition of "dwelling" in section 53a-100(a) to replace "therein" with "in such building" for grammatical consistency.

Applies to home invasion, first degree burglary, second degree burglary, and third degree burglary statutes.

All changes become effective October 1, 2017.
