Establishes a requirement for the Commission on the Standardization of the Collection of Evidence in Sexual Assault Investigations to examine ways to ensure sexual assault victims have access to information about their evidence collection kits.

Victim information to be made accessible includes when the kit was tested, whether DNA from the kit was entered into state or national DNA data banks, and whether the sample matched any profile in those data banks.

Commission must submit findings and legislative recommendations to the joint standing committee on public safety and security by October 1, 2018.

Legislation takes effect upon passage.
