Establishes a task force to study how to ensure persons under conservatorship can maintain relationships with family members and others while balancing safety concerns and conservator burdens.

Task force consists of nine members: two legal services representatives, two from Senate (one conserved person and one conservator), one each from House and Senate majority leaders, one each from House and Senate minority leaders, and the Probate Court Administrator or designee.

All appointments must be made within 30 days of the effective date, with the Speaker and President Pro Tempore selecting co-chairpersons who must hold the first meeting within 60 days.

Administrative staff from the joint standing committee on aging shall provide support to the task force.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the joint standing committees on aging and judiciary by December 1, 2018, and terminates upon submission of the report or that date, whichever is later.
