Authorizes volunteer fire department active members to provide traffic control and regulation on state highways (excluding limited access highways) and municipal roads during special events of limited duration, effective October 1, 2018.

Permits traffic control at events sponsored by municipalities, veteran organizations, churches or religious organizations, civic or social clubs, or educational or charitable organizations that are organized as nonprofit entities.

Requires volunteer members performing traffic control duties to wear a badge of office in plain view, wear a traffic safety vest or reflectorized orange or lime green outer clothing meeting safety standards, carry a flashlight with red or orange wand, and use hand-held or portable traffic control devices.

Authorizes the supervision authorities of volunteer fire companies or departments to grant permission for these traffic control duties.
