Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management may allocate available fiscal year 2018-2019 funds to increase wages for employees providing services to individuals with intellectual disabilities through the Department of Developmental Services.

Secretary may transfer available funds to behavioral services, employment opportunities and day services accounts of the Department of Developmental Services and community residential services account of the Department of Social Services.

Private providers must document by December 1, 2018 that funds are used to increase minimum wages to at least $14.75 per hour effective January 1, 2019.

Providers may give wage increases of up to 5 percent to employees earning between $14.76 and $30 per hour, effective January 1, 2019.

Secretary shall reimburse private providers for employer taxes, benefits expansion, and other costs associated with the wage increases within available appropriations.
