Allows parties to contracts valued at $250,000 or more to agree that Connecticut law will govern their rights and duties, regardless of whether the contract has a reasonable relation to the state.

Excludes contracts for labor, personal services, and personal, family, or household services from the choice of law provision.

Permits persons to sue foreign entities, nonresidents, or foreign states in Connecticut courts for contracts valued at $500,000 or more that select Connecticut law and include a jurisdiction agreement submitting to Connecticut court jurisdiction.

Does not limit or deny enforcement of choice of law or choice of forum provisions in other contracts.

Takes effect October 1, 2018.
