Repeals and replaces Section 52-557o of the general statutes, effective October 1, 2018.

Licensed land surveyors and persons acting under their direction may enter adjacent land without trespassing liability, provided the landowner gives at least seven days' advance written notice to affected property owners.

Surveyors must obtain written permission from railroad companies before entering railroad property within fifty feet of a railroad track; such permission cannot be unreasonably withheld.

Surveyors remain liable for actual damages caused to any property they enter during survey work.
