Adopts Conservation and Development Policies: The Plan for Connecticut, 2018-2023, as recommended by the Continuing Legislative Committee on State Planning and Development.

Incorporates six growth management principles including redevelopment of regional centers, expanded housing opportunities, development around transportation nodes, conservation of natural and cultural resources, protection of environmental assets, and integrated planning across government levels.

The Continuing Legislative Committee on State Planning and Development held meetings and hearings with municipalities and stakeholders to incorporate recommendations into the plan.

The state plan of conservation and development has been overseen since 1976 by the Continuing Legislative Committee on State Planning and Development and carried out by the Office of Policy and Management.
