Expresses sympathy and condolences of the Connecticut General Assembly on the death of Bruce L. Morris, who passed away on November 11, 2017, at age eighty-five.

Honors Morris's distinguished career as a New Haven Alderman (1962-1966), five-term Connecticut House of Representatives member (starting 1967), and state senator representing the 10th District (1990-1994).

Recognizes Morris as the first African American to hold a leadership position in the General Assembly, serving as Deputy Speaker, Assistant Majority Leader, and Assistant Minority Leader.
