Requires all insurance companies, hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health care centers, fraternal benefit societies, and similar entities to provide coverage for intravenously administered prescription drugs on a basis no less favorable than orally administered prescription drugs

Applies to individual health insurance policies covering the types specified in section 38a-469(1), (2), (4), (11), (12), or (16) of Connecticut general statutes that include prescription drug coverage

Applies to group health insurance policies covering the same types specified in section 38a-469(1), (2), (4), (11), (12), or (16) that include prescription drug coverage

Takes effect January 1, 2019
