Combined sewer projects may receive increased project grants of up to 80% of eligible costs (previously 50%) if state bond authorizations under section 22a-483(a) are increased on or after October 1, 2018, provided no other municipality's project grants are reduced or eliminated.

Increased grant funding for combined sewer projects is contingent on additional bond authorization and cannot come at the expense of grants already allocated to other municipalities.

Remaining eligible project costs for combined sewer projects continue to be funded through loans, not exceeding 100% of eligible water quality project costs.

The act takes effect October 1, 2018, and amends section 22a-478(c) of the general statutes.
