Excludes overtime payments from final average salary calculations used to determine retirement income for state employees retiring on or after July 1, 2027

Applies to officers and employees of the executive branch, higher education constituent units, the Board of Regents for Higher Education, Judicial Department, and legislative branch

Applies retroactively to all employees regardless of their hire date if they retire on or after July 1, 2027

Removes overtime pay inclusion from collective bargaining negotiations effective July 1, 2027 for state employees retirement system members

Effective date for the new provision is upon passage of the act
