Commissioner of Public Health shall convene a working group by January 1, 2019 to advise on methods to enhance physician recruitment in Connecticut

Working group shall examine physician recruitment, retention and compensation for primary care and psychiatric/behavioral health providers, loan forgiveness effectiveness, health care access, insurance landscape effects, barriers to network participation, and graduate medical education assistance

Working group membership includes representatives from Connecticut Hospital Association, Connecticut Medical Society, small and multisite group practices, medical schools, physician recruiters, hospital human resources, patient advocacy groups, and four members of the general public

Working group shall elect its own chairpersons from among members

Working group shall report findings to the commissioner by January 1, 2020, with the act effective July 1, 2018
