Amends section 17b-340d of the general statutes to phase in a revised Medicaid reimbursement system for nursing home services.

Reimbursement system will be based on the level of care required for residents with acute conditions and specialized care needs for residents with certain conditions.

Incorporates a standard resident assessment instrument and a rate differential reflecting cost differences across different geographical regions of the state.

Includes a pay-for-performance adjustment and revisions to the property reimbursement component of nursing home rates.

Aims to align nursing home Medicaid reimbursement with the actual cost of caring for residents with a variety of health conditions and diagnoses.
