Extends the deadline for replacing a general election candidate from 24 days to 46 days before the opening of polls when a nominee dies, withdraws, or becomes disqualified.

Requires replacement nominations to be certified at least 42 days before election day (previously 21 days), with an exception allowing certification up to 42 days before polls open if the nominee dies within that window.

If a nominee dies within 42 days before election day, the Secretary of State must direct municipal clerks to reprint ballots, affix stickers, or use blank stickers to reflect candidate changes.

Changes primary election candidate replacement deadlines from 10 days to 32 days before the primary, and from 24 hours to at least 28 days for certification of replacement party-endorsed candidates.

Removes a provision allowing sticker placement on ballots for replacements made less than 96 hours but at least 24 hours before primary polls open when a candidate dies.
