Amends chapter 248 of the general statutes to require motor vehicle operators to slow down or move over one lane when passing tank vehicles (as defined in section 14-1) or commercial motor vehicles equipped with garbage compactors, detachable containers, or curbside recycling bodies.

Applies to oil and gas delivery vehicles, garbage trucks, and recycling trucks.

Aims to increase public safety for workers and operators of these commercial vehicles.
