Commissioner of Transportation and Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection must jointly study the relationship between accident rates and the current 40 miles per hour minimum speed limit on limited access highways in Connecticut.

Study must include recommendations for legislation to improve road safety based on findings.

Results and recommendations must be reported to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly with jurisdiction over transportation and public safety and security.
