Repeals and replaces Section 9-250 of Connecticut General Statutes, effective October 1, 2019, regarding ballot requirements.

Requires ballots at single polling places serving multiple voting districts to use different colors to differentiate ballots for each voting district from one another.

Maintains existing requirements that ballots be printed in plain clear type on material sized to fit voting tabulators, with identical type size and style for all political parties and candidates.

Specifies how candidate names appear on ballots based on office type: major party candidates for municipal offices as authorized by candidate; state/district office candidates as listed on certificates or statements of consent; minor party and nominating petition candidates as authorized or verified by town clerk.

Preserves regulations on ballot layout including arrangement of political parties and candidates, indication of voting limits per office, and prohibition of more candidates listed than positions available for election.
