Prohibits insurers, health care centers, hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, fraternal benefit societies, and other health insurance entities from discriminating against individuals based on prior claims for naloxone hydrochloride effective January 1, 2020.

Applies to all individual and group health insurance policies in Connecticut that provide coverage specified in subdivisions (1), (2), (4), (11) and (12) of section 38a-469 of the general statutes.

Prevents discrimination including but not limited to: increased policy premiums or rates, reduced availability of covered benefits, or adverse policy terms or conditions based on naloxone claims history.

Received a joint favorable recommendation from the Insurance and Real Estate Committee.
