Amends section 38a-702d to require insurance producer license examinations to be offered in English or Spanish at the applicant's option, effective October 1, 2019.

Amends section 38a-769 to require all licensee examinations administered by the Insurance Commissioner to be offered in English or Spanish at the applicant's option, effective October 1, 2019.

Examinations must test applicants' knowledge of lines of authority, duties and responsibilities of licensees, and applicable insurance laws and regulations of Connecticut.

The Insurance Commissioner may develop and conduct examinations under prescribed rules or adopt regulations, and may designate independent testing services to prepare and administer examinations.
