Amends Connecticut General Statutes section 20-206mm to modify recertification requirements for emergency medical responders, emergency medical technicians, advanced emergency medical technicians, and emergency medical services instructors.

Emergency medical technicians must complete 30 hours of refresher training every three years for recertification, or meet other requirements prescribed by the commissioner.

Refresher training requirements must include training in Alzheimer's disease and dementia symptoms and care.

Certified emergency medical services personnel who are not currently employed are exempt from refresher training completion requirements until they return to employment as emergency medical services personnel.

Effective date is July 1, 2019.
