Repeals and replaces Section 9-19i of the general statutes regarding motor vehicle address changes and voter registration procedures.

Motor vehicle operator's license address change forms shall not automatically update voter registration unless the person explicitly states the change is for voter registration purposes.

Commissioner of Motor Vehicles must transmit address change information to town registrars of voters when a person indicates the change is for voter registration purposes.

If a person's new address is within the same town, registrars shall update their registry list entry to the new address within that town.

If a person's new address is outside their former town, registrars shall remove them from the registry list and send notice, information, and a new registration application as required by Section 9-35.
