• Prohibits misrepresenting a pet dog as a service dog or service dog in training to obtain rights or privileges afforded to persons with disabilities, effective July 1, 2019.

• Defines misrepresentation as falsely stating a dog is a service dog or outfitting it with special identification (cape, vest, leash, collar) implying service dog status when the dog is not trained as a service dog.

• Establishes misrepresentation as an infraction punishable by a fine of not more than ninety dollars.
