• Department of Education may develop and distribute strategies to local and regional school boards to enhance safe school climate plans, reduce school violence, and promote trauma sensitivity in schools.

• Department of Education must make resources available to alliance districts to improve school climate through training and strategies for connecting youth to appropriate services.

• Resources should foster trauma-sensitive school communities within designated alliance districts pursuant to existing statute section 10-262u.

• Act takes effect July 1, 2019 and creates a new section in Connecticut statutes.
